ROLEPLAY RULES

I. METAGAMING

Metagaming is when you take anything said OOC and use it to your ingame advantage.
Metagaming is forbidden and anything said in OOC is for player help or recreation.
Reporting rp activity in OOC can result in a short period ban. ("ex. OOC: Gregor has druglabs.")

II. NEW LIFE RULE

When a player dies they are considered a new person and they forget everything.
To everbody else still alive they are a new person as well and you do not remember any acts they commited the life before.
If a person dies you may not go back and kill them again or you may break the new life rule.
You may not report your own death. Reporting your own death goes against the new life rule and will result in a 24 hour ban.

III. DEATHMATCHING

Deathmatching is the deliberate act of continuously and mindlessly killing without reason.
A valid reason is required for any murder commited and you could be jailed for the act.
If a number of murders are comitted breaking the new life rule it is also considered deathmatching and could result in a short or long term ban.

IV. WEAPONS

Anybody can buy an automatic weapon under the table or even a legal pistol, but if a weapon is in plain view you can be arrested by a CP officer.
The Civil Protection officers also carry scanners that will detect lethal weapons that you carry.
If an automatic or illegal weapon is detected in your inventory you will be arrested and/or your weapons confiscated.
Licences can be obtained to own an automatic weapon, but only for defence. Plain sight of the weapon(s) can result in jail time.

V. CIVIL PROTECTION

CP officers are positioned around the city to protect and serve for the government NOT the people.
The CP are not your friends, so be mindful of them.
Do not try to run from a CP officer if they are talking to you because they are well armed.
CP officers need a valid reason to use thier gun and arrest stick, but need no reason to hit you over the head with a stun baton.
Don't even look at a CP the wrong way or you could be hurt.
If you have a weapon in plain view a CP officer has a valid reason to shoot or arrest you. Keep your guns hidden.

VI. BUILDING RESTRICTIONS

The physics gun is a building tool only.
Using the physics gun to prop kill, prop surf, prop lift, or prop climb will result in a warning then a permenant ban.
All of the following are acts that you can be banned for.
Prop killing - when you take a prop with your physics gun to kill somebody.
Prop surfing - when you stand on a prop and use your physics gun to lift yourself in the air.
Prop lifting- when a player stands one of your props and you lift them in the air.
Prop climbing- when you position a prop to ramp or climb onto parts of the map.
Prop blocking- when you put a prop over a player so they can't move, or in front of an area to block it off.
Small areas can be blocked and claimed for territroy, residential, or businesses, but large frequently used areas cannot be blocked. ("ex. streets/hallways")
Doors count as prop blocking unless a working keypad that opens that door is placed near to and on both sides of the door.

VII. CRIMES

Some crimes can be commited without consequence, such as murder.
You may wish to get a group and gang up on a CP officer, but be careful if another CP sees you then you will be arrested.
Some murder is ok but dont go back for revenge if you die. Remember the new life rule.
Most of the time you will need a valid reason to kill.
If you feel you need to report a crime do so to a CP officer, but be sure to specify the crime, location commited, and name of the offender.

VIII. RANDOM DRUG SEARCHES

CP officers can enter your base at any time and search it for drugs as long as they have a search warrant, so be careful.
Resisting arrest or a search is a valid reason for a CP to feel threatened and pull out thier gun. They will not hesitate to fire.

ADMIN AND PLAYER STATUS RULES

I. DONT ASK

Asking for a status update will result in a 24 hour, 1 week, or permenant ban.
Do not ask for respected, admin, etc.
Status will be dertermined on attitude, playtime, or payment method.
You can be demoted very easily so be sure you are not abusing your abilities.

II. MICROPHONES

Voices will be muted without warning, watch what you say.
Do not complain if you are muted, a person of authority will unmute you if they want.

III. BAN APPEAL

It is handy to be a member of the forum and steam community to view updates, downtimes for server maintenance and events.
It also helps if you have been banned or microphone muted. If you are banned or microphone muted then you can appeal at our forums at http://www.cyborgscantcry.be/forum/phpBB3/index.php in the ban appeal section.
After you make an appeal, you will have to wait for a person of authority to reply and consider the appeal.

IV. ADMIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESTRICTIONS

Admins are not allowed to change the map, limits, tool restrictions, or any server related content.
Admins can NOT add respected players, or change a players status without first asking the owners. The owners are Axm and Kronophonix.
Admins can change a player status from previously banned to guest, if their previous status was respected then please refer to the previous rule.
Admins can not randomly ban or kick a player. You need a valid reason related to one of the server rules. A player badmouthing you is not a valid reason.
